Nursing measures of patients with cerebrospinal fluid leakage after spinal surgery

  • Objective To explore the nursing measures of cerebrospinal fluid leakage after spinal surgery. Methods A total of 60 cases with cerebrospinal fluid leakage after spinal surgery were selected as study subjects, and were divided into observation group with 30 cases and control group with 30 cases.Patients in the control group received routine care, and observation group received improved nursing.Hospital stay, stop time of cerebrospinal fluid leakage, drainage time, incision delayed healing rate, incision infection rate and VAS scores were recorded and compared. After operation,self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores were recorded and compared. Results The observation group had shorter time in hospital stay, stop time of cerebrospinal fluid leakage, drainage time than that of the control group (P < 0.05),delayed healing rate, and incision infection rate were significantly less than that of the control group (P < 0.05).Proportion of patients with severe pain in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05).The SAS and SDS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Improved nursing measures can accelerate the wound healing and recovery rate of cerebrospinal fluid leakage after spinal surgery, and effectively prevent infection.
