Effect of single disease nursing quality standards on blood glucose, compliance and self-management ability in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

  • Objective To explore the effect of single disease nursing quality standards on blood glucose, compliance and self-management ability in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 434 type 2 diabetes cases in hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 217 cases in each group, given holistic nursing and health education as well as nursing quality standards.Nursing measures, and health education were implemented and nursing effect was evaluated. Results The observation group had better treatment compliance, standardization rate of blood sugar and self-management ability, and lower incidence rate of hypoglycemia than that the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Standards of single disease nursing quality can greatly improve treatment compliance,self-management ability and standardization rate of blood sugar in patients with diabetes, reduce the incidence of low blood sugar, prevent acute and chronic complications occurrence.
