Abstract
Objective To analyze value of modified early warning scoring system (Mews) for emergency patients in department of internal medicine.Methods A total of 400 patients in department of internal medicine in our hospital were given scores by MEWS,and targeted nursing countermeasures were given to the patients according to the results.The MEWS scores and the outcome of the disease were compared and analyzed.Results A total of 284 patients with MEWS score less than 4 points were kept in emergency department,and were given emergency nursing intervention,and 74 cases with MEWS score from 5 to 9 points were critically ill patients,they were treated with the first class nursing.After emergency treatment,the patients were transferred to the special wards.A total of 42 patients with MEWS score more than 10 points,were given special care,and most of the patients were transferred to intensive care unit after emergency treatment.Conclusion Application of MEWS for emergency patients provides scientific basis for nursing plan,and make the emergency nursing intervention more targeted.It improves the effect of emergency nursing effectively.
