The impact of continuing nursing on the disease outcome and quality of life for diabetic patients

  • Objective To investigate the impact of continuing nursing on the disease out-come and quality of life for patients with diabetes.Methods 180 patients with diabetes were the ob-jects in the research.The observation group with 90 patients was conducted continuing nursing, while the control group with 90 patients was applied conventional nursing measures.Results After the treatment,fasting glucose and glucose levels after 2 hours meal in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group.So the difference was significant (P <0.05).The read-mission rate in observation group was 4.4%,which was significantly lower than that in the control group.It revealed that the difference was significant(P <0.05).In addition,the quality of life of patients in the observation group markedly improved compared with the control group(P <0.05). Conclusion It is of great significant to apply continuing nursing in improving the glucose.It can ef-fectively improve disease condition of patients,reduce readmission rate and improve the quality of life.
