Influence of Bushen Huayu decotion combined with diane-35 on MCP-1 level and blood lipids of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Bushen Huayu decoction combined with diane-35 on the treatment of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)and explore its influence on serum MCP-1 level and blood lipids.Methods 55 patients with PCOS were randomly divided into the control group (n =27,treated with diane-35)and observation group (n =28, treated with Bushen Huayu decoction and diane-35).Levels of MCP-l,TC,TG and HDL-C before and after treatment were observed and compared,and the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were observed as well.Results Total effective rate of observation group was 82.1%,which was significantly higher than 66.7% of control group (P <0.05).Levels of serum MCP-1,TC,TG decreased significantly after treatment in both groups (P <0.05 ),while HDL-C increased signifi-cantly (P <0.05).Improvement of all the indexes in the observation group were significantly bet-ter than those of control group(P <0.05).No severe adverse reactions were observed in both groups.Conclusion Bushen Huayu decoction combined with diane-35 can effectively inhabit the secretion of MCP-1 and reduce blood lipid in patients with PCOS.
