Effect of simvastatin combined with clopidogrel on treatment of patients with unstable angina and its influence on serum hs-CRP and IL-6

  • Objective To explore effect of simvastatin combined with clopidogrel on treat-ment of patients with unstable angina and its influence on serum hs-CRP and IL-6.Methods 80 patients with unstable angina were randomly divided into two groups.Simvastatin group was treat-ed with simvastatin and other conventional treatment, while the combined group was treated with clopidogrel on the basis of simvastatin group.Efficacy and changes of serum hs-CRP and IL-6 were observed before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the total effective rate in combined group was 9 0 .0 % ,which was significantly higher than 7 5 .0 % in the simvastatin group (P <0.05).The levels of TC and TG decreased significantly in both groups (P <0.05),and there were no significant differences between two groups (P >0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum hs-CRP and IL-6 decreased significantly in both groups(P <0.05),and levels of serum hs-CRP and IL-6 in the combined group was significantly lower than those in the simvastatin group (P <0.05).Conclusion Application of simvastatin combined with clopidogrel in treatment of pa-tients with unstable angina can improve clinical symptoms.
