Abstract:
In recent years, changes in blood glucose monitoring technology and insulin administration methods have completely changed the blood glucose management model of diabetic patients. The closed-loop artificial pancreas systems that integrate dynamic blood glucose monitoring, insulin infusion devices, and algorithms are of great significance for improving blood glucose levels in diabetic patients, reducing the risk of acute and chronic complications, and improving the quality of life. However, the closed-loop artificial pancreas systems in the market have diverse operation methods, increasing the difficulty of selecting clinical medical staff and patients. This article reviewed the overview, classification, and research progress of closed-loop artificial pancreas systems at home and abroad to provide guidance and reference for medical staff to choose insulin pumps in clinical work.
