Abstract:
Changes in cardiac structure and function such as myocardial aging, valve alterations, alterations in the cardiac conduction system and vascular aging are crucial for studying therapeutic methods for age-related cardiovascular diseases. Histone methylation modification is involved in the regulation of gene expression and closely related to the occurrence and development of age-related cardiovascular diseases. This paper provided a comprehensive review on the role of histone methylation modification in cardiac structural and functional changes, providing new theoretical basis for age-related cardiovascular diseases.
