Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of Guipi Decoction combined with auricular pressing with pills in treatment of hemodialysis patients with insomnia.
Methods Totally 87 hemodialysis patients with insomnia were randomly divided into control group (n=43) and observation group (n=44). The control group was conducted with routine nursing and auricular pressing with pills, and the observation group was conducted with Guipi Decoction on the basis of the control group. The treatment duration was 4 weeks. Score of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), score of the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), score of syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine and clinical efficacy were compared before and after treatment between two groups.
Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.91%, which was significantly higher than 74.42% of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of insomnia, dreaminess, dizziness and limb burnout of the both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the scores of these indexes in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the PSQI and HAMA scores in both groups significantly decreased, and the PSQI and HAMA scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Guipi Decoction combined with auricular pressing with pills can improve the sleep disorder, relieve anxiety symptoms and improve the quality of life in hemodialysis patients with insomnia.
