Abstract:
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of lumbar multitarget radiofrequency combined with silver acupuncture therapy in treatment of elderly with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis.
Methods A total of 48 elderly patients with lumbar spinal stenosis were selected, and divided into radiofrequency group (n=22) and combination group (n=26) according to different treatment methods.Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and clinical response rate were compared between two groups at 1month, 3, 6 and 12 months after surgery.Adverse reactions and complications were recorded in the two groups.
Results The VAS scores of the two groups at 1month, 3, 6 and 12 months after surgery were significantly lower than those before surgery, and the VAS scores of the combination group were significantly lower than those of the radiofrequency group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). At 1month, 3, 6 and 12 months after operation, the effective rate of the combination group was significantly higher than that of the radiofrequency group (P < 0.01).No adverse reactions and complications occurred in both groups.
Conclusion The short-term and medium-term efficacy of lumbar multitarget radiofrequency combined with silver acupuncture therapy in treatment of elderly lumbar spinal stenosis is good, and they have lower risk.
