Study on action observation training rehabilitation model based on somatosensory games for children with spastic cerebral palsy

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of action observation training(AOT)rehabilitation model based on somatosensory games on muscular tension, motor function and balance in children with spastic cerebral palsy. Methods A total of 91 children with spastic cerebral palsy were divided into two groups according to the random number table method. The control group(n=45)received routine rehabilitation mode, and the study group(n=46)received AOT rehabilitation mode based on somatosensory games. Muscular tension, upper limb function and balance function of children in the two groups were observed. Results At the second week and 1 month after intervention, the Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS)score of the study group was significantly lower, and Upper Extremity Function Test(UEFT)score and Berg Balance Scale(BBS)score were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The AOT rehabilitation model based on somatosensory games can significantly reduce the muscular tension of children with spastic cerebral palsy, improve upper limb function and restore balance function.
