Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of early mother-infant skin contact combined with pathway health education on breast feeding and uterine involution.
Methods Totally 103 puerperas were randomly divided into control group(
n=51, treated by early mother-infant skin contact)and observation group(
n=52, treated by early mother-infant skin contact and pathway health education). The success rate of first breast feeding, feeding mode, uterine involution and awareness rate of breast feeding knowledge were compared between the two groups.
Results The success rate of first breast feeding, breast feeding rate and awareness rate of breast feeding knowledge in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the decrease of uterine fundus height at 24 h after delivery was significantly more than that in the control group(
P<0.05).
Conclusion The application of early mother-infant skin contact combined with pathway health education in obstetric nursing can significantly increase the breast feeding rate and feeding success rate, which is conducive to promote maternal uterine involution and obtain more breast feeding knowledge.
