Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of virtual reality technology in balance training of patients with vertigo in Department of Neurology.
Methods Totally 180 patients with vertigo were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 90 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with routine medicine therapy. On this basis, the control group was treated with routine rehabilitation training, and the observation group was treated with rehabilitation training based on virtual reality technology. The scores of Berg Balance Scale(BBS)and Barthel Index(BI)before and after 2 weeks of treatment were compared between the two groups.
Results After treatment, the BBS and BI scores in both groups improved significantly, and the BBS and BI scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Rehabilitation training based on virtual reality technology can significantly improve the balance function and quality of life in patients with vertigo in Department of Neurology.
