Abstract:
Objectives To analyze the incidence and death status of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in Yangzhou City in Jiangsu Province.
Methods Data was collected from the population monitoring system of Yangzhou, and the incidence and mortality of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases were analyzed.
Results The incidence of coronary heart disease and stroke increased gradually from 2010 to 2018 in Yangzhou City. The incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases was 701.82 per 100 thousand people in Yangzhou City in 2018, among which the incidence of coronary heart disease was 75.44 per 100 thousand people, the incidence of stroke was 626.38 per 100 thousand people, and the incidence of stroke was higher than that of coronary heart disease. The incidences of coronary heart disease and stroke in males were higher than those in females. The crude death rates of coronary heart disease in male and female patients were 47.95 per 100 thousand people and 42.92 per 100 thousand people respectively, and the crude death rates of stroke in male and female patients were 137.20 per 100 thousand people and 139.80 per 100 thousand people respectively. Among all the patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, the proportions of patients with first onset of coronary heart disease and stroke were 54.18% and 47.16% respectively, the proportion of the first onset of coronary heart disease was higher than that of stroke. County-level hospitals and below were the main hospitals for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease and stroke. In Yangzhou City, the annual loss of healthy life caused by the death of coronary heart disease was 14 700.07 and 14 652.27 person-years respectively, with an average of 6.39 and 6.41 person-years per thousand people. The annual loss of healthy life caused by the death of stroke was 47 883.19 and 41 924.74 person-years respectively, with an average of 20.82 and 18.34 person-years per thousand people.
Conclusion The incidence of coronary heart disease and stroke is increasing continuously in Yangzhou City. Men over 60 years old are population with high risks of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
