Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the effect of optimized distribution and subarea administration in the transfusion department of out-patient and emergency.
Methods The distribution of the transfusion department of out-patient and emergency were rearranged, adding infusion reception and the part for skin test. The infusion area was divided into adult infusion, children infusion and bed infusion areas, the seats and the infusion baskets of 3 parts were blue, pink and white respectively in order to be identified easily. Questionnaire investigation were applied to evaluate the effect of arrangement optimization and subarea administration. The waiting time in line and the general satisfaction rate of patients were analyzed between before and after the improvement.
Results There was no significant difference in effective rate of questionnaire pre- and post-spatial layout optimization and subarea administration(P>0.05). The waiting time of patients after optimized distribution and subarea administration were significantly less, the total satisfaction of patients was higher(P < 0.05).
Conclusion Distribution optimization and subarea administration in the transfusion department of out-patient and emergency can improve nurse′s working efficiency, shorten the patients′waiting time and increase the satisfaction of patients.
