Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of Jinlida Granule for diabetic nephropathy patients and its effect on insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).
Methods A total of 106 patients with diabetic nephropathy admitted to our hospital were divided into two groups by random number table method, with 53 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine symptomatic treatment, and the study group was additionally treated with Jinlida Granule. The clinical efficacy, renal function index (urinary albumin excretion rate, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen and 24 h urinary protein quantification), changes of IGF-1 and VEGF levels before and after treatment as well as adverse drug reactions during treatment were compared between the two groups.
Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the urinary albumin excretion rate, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen and 24 h urinary protein in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the IGF-1 and VEGF levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion Jinlida Granule is effective in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy, and can effectively improve the renal function, and regulate the levels of IGF-1 and VEGF.
