Abstract:
Objective To explore the differences of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and C-erbB-2 in primary lesions and contemporary axillary lymph node metastasis lesions between Uygur nationality and Han nationality female patients with breast cancer in Xinjiang area.
Methods Totally 180 Uygur nationality women with breast cancer and 205 Han nationality women with breast cancer from January 2015 to December 2017 in Xinjiang Tumor Hospital and the Seventh Division Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps were selected and conducted with detection of ER, PR and C-erbB-2 in primary lesions and contemporary axillary lymph node metastases lesions.
Results There were better consistencies in ER and C-erbB-2 between primary lesions and contemporary axillary lymph node metastasis lesions in Uygur nationality group (χ2=1.118、3.211, P=0.290、0.073), but there was significant difference in PR between primary lesions and contemporary axillary lymph node metastasis lesions in Uygur nationality group (χ2=5.959, P=0.015). There were better consistencies in ER, PR and C-erbB-2 in primary lesions and contemporaryaxillary lymph node metastasis lesions in Han nationality group (P>0.05).
Conclusion Conclusion The inconsistency difference of PR expression between primary lesions and contemporary axillary lymph node metastasis lesions may be a factor of the poor prognosis of Uygur nationality women with breast cancer.
