Abstract:
Objective To observe application of intravenous nutrition support in patients with advanced cancer and its influence on the quality of life.Methods A total of 102 patients with advanced cancer were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 51 cases per group.Both groups were given chemotherapy and observation group was additionally given intravenous fluid.Then the hemoglobin (Hb),albumin (Alb),T lymphocyte subsets,body mass index (BMI) and quality of life (QOL) of patients in two groups were observed before and after treatment.Results The Hb,Alb,BMI and QOL of observation group were all increased obviously after treatment (P < 0.05).The Hb,Alb,BMI and QOL of control group had no significant changes after treatment (P > 0.05).Besides,the levels of CD3 +,CD4 + and CD4 +/CDs + of patients in observation group significantly increased after treatment (P < 0.05),but the CDs + level had no significant changes (P > 0.05).There was no significant difference in levels of CD3 +,CD4 +,CDs + and CD4 +/CDs + in the control group after treatment.Conclusion Intravenous nutrition support for patients with advanced cancer is effective and can improve the quality of life apparently.
