Abstract:
Objective The genomics mechanism of Liuwei Dihuang Granule efficacy was ex-plored by selecting the different gene expression profiles before and after the application of Liuwei Di-huang Granule for patients with advanced colorectal cancer (CRC)due to yin deficiency of liver and kidney.Methods Liuwei Dihuang Granule was given to patients with advanced CRC due to yin defi-ciency of liver and kidney,21 days as a course.During treatment,no western medicines or other Chi-nese medicines were administrated.21 days later,peripheral blood was collected again to detect the gene chips.Then the chips after intervention were compared with themselves before intervention.Re-sults Compared with intervention before,the chips after intervention had 129 differential gene frag-ments,in which 128 were up-regulated and 1 was down-regulated.Gene function enrichment anal-ysis showed that a total of 254 gene ontologies (GO)had significant differences before and after inter-ventions (P<0.05 orP<0.01).In the biological process,coagulation-related genes accounted for 41.5%.In cellular components,45.5%differential cells was associated with plasma membrane while in molecular function,64.9% was correlated with combination.Conclusion Patients with advanced CRC due to yin deficiency of liver and kidney have differential gene expressions before and after the in-terventions of Liuwei Dihuang Granule,and GO analysis indicates that Liuwei Dihuang Granule can strengthen the coagulation function and combination with calcium of CRC patients.
