Abstract:
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of angiotensin converting en-zyme inhibitors(ACEI)in the treatment in elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Meth-ods 76 elderly patients with CHF were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The control group was treated with diuretic, vasodilator and other conventional anti-heart failure treatment while the observation group was treated with benazepril based on the control group. The echocardiographic indicators and BNP,6min walking distance before and after the treatment were compared in the two groups. Results After treatment, the LVEDD,CO,LVEF ,BNP and 6min walking distance were improved significantly compared with the treatment before in the two groups, and were better in the observation group than that in the control group, the difference was of statis-tically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion The treatment of ACEI in elderly patients with chronic heart failure can significantly improve the heart function, improve exercise tolerance and slow ven-tricular remodeling,so it enjoys a better medication safety.
