Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of self-management guidance in COPD pa-tients.Methods 80 COPD patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the con-trol group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was received routine nursing while the observation group was given self-management guidance based on the control group.Hope level, pulmonary function and life quality were compared between the two groups. Results Realistic and positive attitude, positive action in the future and general hope score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Lung function index in FEV1 and FEV1 /FVC in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,so the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Life quality score in physical function, social function and mental function in the observation group was higher than that in the control group ,the results revealed that the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion Self-management guidance can increase the treatment hope level of COPD pa-tients and improve the life quality during the illness.
