Abstract:
Objective To study effect of bundled nursing on phlebitis rate induced by pedi-atric venous indwelling needle. Methods A toal of 547 patients with venous indwelling needles from June 2012 to July 2013 were given routine nursing and served as control group, while another 552 patients with same venous indwelling needles admitted in our hospital from August 2012 to September 2013 were performed with bundled nursing and selected as bundled group. The rates of phlebitis in degree 1~4 in both groups were compared. Results The phlebitis rates in control group and bundled group were 5.67% and 2.36% respectively, and there was significant sifference (P <0.01).Conclusion Bundled nursing can evidently reduce the phlebitis rate induced by venous in-dwelling needle, which deserves to be widely applied in clinic.
