Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of intensive intervention on quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)in stable period.Methods 80 pa-tients with COPD in stable period were divided into intervention group (n =40)and control group (n =40).The patients in the intervention group were given health education and administration measures in physical exercise,respiratory muscle exercise,oxygen therapy,education,psychologi-cal and behavioral intervention while the patients in the control group were treated with drugs. And quality of life of two groups before and after the treatment was evaluated by St George′s respi-ratory questionnaire (SGRQ).Results The difference was not statistically significant in respirato-ry symptoms,disease impact and the SGRQ indicators of the two groups (P >0.05).After the in-tervention,the difference was not statistically significant in the intervention group in respiratory symptoms ,disease impact and the SGRQ indicators compared with the treatment before (P <0.05).The difference was not statistically significant in the indicators in the control group (P >0.05).The difference was statistically significant in indicators after the intervention in the inter-vention group and control group.Conclusion Intensive intervention can improve the quality of life in patients with COPD in stable period.
