Abstract:
Objective To explore clinical significance of serum procalcitonin (PCT)and in-terleukin-6 (IL-6)detection in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pul-monary disease (COPD).Methods Electrochemical luminescence analysis was used to detect the levels of PCT and IL-6 in 160 COPD patients (observation group)and 110 normal people (control group),and sensitivity and specificity of PCT and IL-6 were compared. Results Levels of PCT and IL-6 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05).Sensitivity of IL-6 was significantly higher than that of PCT (P <0.05),while specificity of PCT was significantly higher than that of IL-6 (P <0.05).Conclusion PCT and IL-6 detec-tion play an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of COPD,but there are differences of sen-sitivity and specificity between PCT and IL-6 detections.
