Abstract:
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of bioactive glass combined with bath therapy on treatment of residual burn wounds. Methods 60 patients with residual burn wounds were randomly divided into trial group and control group,30 cases in each group. The trial group was treated with bioactive glass and bath therapy, while the control group was treated with iodophor gauze and bath therapy. The wound healing, growth of granulation tissue and bacteria de-tection were compared on 7th,14th and 21st day after treatment, and side effects were monitored during the treatment. Results In trial group,7 patients healed on 14th day and 8 patients healed on 21st day.In control group, one patient healed on 14th day,3 patients healed on 21st day.Ac-cording to the standards of wound healing, the total effective rate in the trial group was 93.3%, which was significantly higher than 56.7% in the control group (P <0.01).Staphylococcus au-reus,staphylococcus aureus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, escherichia coli, klebsiella pneumoniae and acinetobacter bauman were detected in both groups during the treatment. There was no significant difference of positive rate between two groups (P >0.05).Conclusion Combination therapy of bioactive glass and bath treatment can effectively promote healing of burn wound.
