Abstract: Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of nasal polypectomy combined with intranasal ethmoidectomy in treating nasal polyp.Methods 80 patients with nasal polyps (ob-servation group)were treated with nasal polypectomy combined with intranasal ethmoidectomy. Therapeutic effect,the postoperative complications and 1 year relapse were observed and compared with the results reported by HUANG Yuanhong,LI Feng,LI Weiping.Results Cure rate (75%)in the observation group was significantly higher than HUANG Yuanhong group,LI Weip-ing group and LI Feng group (χ2=4.365,4.342,4.365,P =0.034,0.033,0.028,P <0.05), while total effective rate (97.5%)was significantly higher than LI Feng group (χ2=3.846,P =0.038 <0.05.Incidence rate of complications (2.5%)in the observation group was significantly lower than HUANG Yuanhong group,LI Weiping group and LI Feng group (χ2=5.365,9.126, 5.365,P =0.034,0.012,0.006,<0.05),and the recurrence rate (1.25%)was significantly lower than HUANG Yuanhong group and LI Weiping group (χ2=18.365,24.321,P <0.01). Conclusion Nasal polypectomy combined with intranasal ethmoidectomy can reduce the complica-tions,alleviate postoperative pain,prevent postoperative recurrence,and its clinical efficacy is bet-ter.
